Flight Departure At MSY Airport

The airline uses Terminal 1 for flight arrival and departure. However, passengers perform before-boarding formalities at different terminal levels. Passengers embarking on Breeze Airways flights will have to reach Level 3 on MSY Terminal to check in and print their boarding pass. 

Arrival Terminal Flights At MSY

Breeze Airways flight will arrive at Concourse A, Terminal 1. Passengers will head to level 1, where staff handles flight arrival and baggage claim. In the case of international flights, passengers can stay at the mentioned concourse to go through customs formalities. 

Check-in & Customs Facilities At MSY Airport

Level 1

This level of the main terminal building facilitates flight arrivals and manages baggage claims of passengers landing at the airport. All these facilities are located close to international arrivals. 

Baggage Claim – After landing at the destination, passengers arrive at the baggage claim section to collect their belongings. There will be either a conveyor belt or a carousel system through which your bags are delivered. Passengers can take the bag that has your name tag on it. 

Customs  – This section prevents illegal and dangerous items from entering the country. When passengers reunite with their luggage, they have to appear for customs duty.  The official will inspect the checked and carry-on items manually and through the X-ray machine. 

Immigration –  During the immigration process, the officials will check whether a passenger has the right document. They will review the document and check your visas, passport, and important IDs. 

Level 2 

Security screening is conducted at level 2 by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The staff rely on high technology to screen passengers and confirm that no forbidden items are concealed. Passengers holding flight tickets are allowed beyond the security checkpoint. 

TSA PreCheck – There are two separate lanes for TSA PreCheck, a membership program for selected travelers.  It makes passengers go through the screening process quickly by skipping long queues at the standard security checkpoint. Members must provide their Known Traveler Number (KTN) to start the process. 

CLEAR – This is another security program that is available for every airline operating at MSY Airport. CLEAR Ambassador escorts eligible members. After that, they can complete the screening program swiftly through the biometric kiosk.

Level 3 

At this, a passenger gets ready to board their planes by completing check-in, submitting bags, and printing boarding passes. The following facilities are available there:

Check-in – Present the flight ticket with relevant travel documents like passports at the check-in counter. If you are bringing checked luggage, submit it at the same counter after attaching the baggage tag. At last, you can select your cabin seat and request other services before getting the boarding pass. 

Baggage Inspection – When you submit the checked baggage, the officials inspect it through the screening machine. The same procedure is conducted for cabin bags. It is important to ensure that every item is up to the airline’s baggage regulations. Otherwise, the staff can decline the transportation. 

Airline’s Ticket Office – The Breeze Airways ticket office is at level three of the MSY Terminal building. Passengers can inquire about their flight at the reservation desk, whether it is flight cancellation, rescheduling, adding inflight services, refund process, or anything else. The counter is handled by the airline employees who are well aware of the policies, providing you with the proper guidance. 

Airport Lounge – Breeze Airways passengers are not entitled to lounge access when purchasing premium tickets. The airline is not currently offering such services. However, passengers can access the airport lounge, viz., The Club MSY. It is located at Concourse A, level three. Any passenger who has completed the check-in can access the area to chill and relax before starting their flight journey.
